Ch 1

After a long tour had come to an end Jon was finally ready to head back home. He and Dot had made a deal tonight after the show that would allow him to party with the guys for one final night while she took the kids back home to NJ. Jon was more than happy to take her up on the offer because after this tour, a night of partying with the boys was what he needed.

Richie walked up to Jon during the party and laughed at his best friend holding the wall up with a glazed look in his eye, "Man if I was you my ass would be home, hot willing wife vs us? Are you nuts? Haven't you seen us enough yet this year?"

Jon just waved his hand as to say forget about it. "Look Dot will be home when I get there. I'm not worried."

"I don't know man." Richie took a drink of his soda, he is truly living up to the rules of the court and not drinking, his brother however was living it up hard tonight. The stress that Jon puts on himself in regards to the band awards him the time tonight to unwind. But he couldn't allow Jon to get off without a little ribbing. "She has needs too and since you're here with us maybe she's fulfilling them elsewhere."

"Believe me Rich if she's fulfilling her needs she's not doing it with another guy!" Jon laughed at the look on his best friends face from the last comment.

"What the hell does that mean? I didn't know Dot batted for the home team?" He laughed wondering exactly how confident a relationship of 29yrs could make someone.

"NO! Of course she doesn't...." Jon suddenly got a grin on his face then took another drink of wine. "Damn....I wonder if she would try that just once?" Richie just laughed as he rolled his eyes knowing that Jon had definitely had to much drink already. "Seriously though lets just say I bought her a gift that keeps on giving if you know what I mean!" Jon winked at Richie then held up his glass signaling he was ready for another glass.

"Boy you've had a lot to drink bro-you're lucky if she doesn't throw that little gift at your head when she sees you. Personally I'd much rather be between my womans' legs than a hard plastic battery operated 'gift', hell if you don't want to fulfill her needs I volunteer." Richie always joked with Jon about being more than willing to fill in for him with Dot. There was just a air about that woman that was sexy. She wasn't the most beautiful woman on the planet, but she had something, something special that was untouchable.

"I bet you would!" Jon joked by punching Richie. "But I have no trouble keeping her happy when I'm home. And besides that if she got one look at you Sambora she would probably keel over"

"Hey you're wife loves me - I know that. She's been putting up with me for years." Richie patted Jon on the back and let him be. It was good to see his brother relax.

"Yeah she does Rich, she thinks of you guys as the brothers she never had. Me on the other hand, I just see four pain in the asses!"

The two friends walk over to the table that rest of the band members were at and took a seat. The three other guys noticed immediately that they would be able to mess with Jon because he was visibly drunk. So drunk that at any moment they expected him to hop up on the chair and start singing Wanted.

"Have a little to drink Johnny?" Dave asked while holding back a laugh.

"Fuck of Dave! I've worked these past few months so I think I deserve a couple of drinks."

"A couple?" Tico questioned as he looked at Richie and David. "I think you've had the whole damn bottle!"

Jon squinted as he looked at the glass then to Richie. "How many have I had Rich? Two....three?"

"I lost count after your sixth one bro"

"Six? Bullshit...." he started laughing for no reason as he looked at his brothers. "I think I need just ONE more!" Jon got up out of the chair still laughing and he started to stumble as he walked back to the bar.

"I need a refill to I'll go keep him out of trouble!"

Dave and Tico looked at each other with confusion then Dave spoke up. "When was the last time Sambora kept somebody out of trouble?"

"Hell if I know!" Tico joked as he took a drink of his beer. "But it is good to see Jon let loose a little....he's been an ass lately!"

"No kidding he needed this and there is one other thing he needs then he'll be in a really good mood!"
